History
The Professional and Management Staff Union (PMSU) was formed from the the National Investment Bank Senior Staff Association (NIBSSA) which was then part of the Local Union. NIBSSA/PMSU was established in 1994 with goals including the collective bargaining over wages, benefits, and working conditions for members, and on representing members in disputes with management over violations of contract provisions.
This was necessitated as a result of the inability of Management to provide competitive remuneration to senior members of staff that was commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
