I acknowledge my election to the office of Chairman, PMSU/NIBSSA with profound humility and heartfelt gratitude—first to God, and to all Comrades. I am deeply honored by the trust you have placed in me and fully recognize the weight of the responsibilities this position brings.

We step into leadership at a transformative time for our Bank. With unity and shared commitment, we will seize opportunities to advance the vision of our Bank and the welfare of our members.

We salute you, Doli-Wura for your exemplary leadership, dedication, and open-door policy towards staff engagement. Sir your assurance to support the newly elected Union leadership and your resolve to work to improve the welfare of staff is evident, and we pledge to redouble our efforts towards working hard to also support your vision towards the Bank’s growth. We hope for your continued leadership for many more years.

To Brother Mogan Ayawine and your team, we extend heartfelt appreciation. We acknowledge how ICU stood firmly with our Bank and staff, safeguarding our future and the integrity of our CBA during turbulent times. We pray for your continued success and well-being.

I am deeply grateful to my predecessor, Chairman Davies. Over the past eight years, your mentorship and unwavering courage— especially, how you stood against the attempted collapse and merger of our Bank—have been truly commendable. Your efforts have laid a strong and lasting foundation for us. Ayeekoo.

I would like to take a moment to recognize and appreciate my executive team for the dedication you have all shown to our union in the short time since we were elected. This inspires confidence, that together we will succeed in serving the best interest of our members.

Comrades, the changing banking landscape demands that we remain resilient. Challenges are real, but so are our collective strengths. Under my leadership, the Union will boldly advocate for better staff welfare, while maintaining constructive and respectful engagement with Management. We recognize Management’s balancing act, but must reaffirm: a motivated staff is key to sustainable growth. Therefore, together we shall work to:

  • Uphold the sovereignty of our CBA;
  • Advocate for better compensation, improved health policy, enhanced loan facilities, reward for hard work, reskilling, upskilling, career development recognition and support initiatives and enhanced support for bereaved staff;
  • Promote a work environment of fairness and equity.

In relation to the union, we are firmly committed to pursuing the following objectives, all aimed at promoting the welfare and interests of our members:

  • To ensure transparency and accountability in handling the union’s affairs;
  • Revising the terms and conditions of granting union loan for better flexibility;
  • Strengthening prudent management of the PMSU Exit Fund;
  • Improving communication between union executives and members by effective use of our official communication channels;

Comrades it is my passionate appeal that we commit more to professionalism and adhere to the Bank’s policies, minimizing disciplinary issues and strengthening NIB’s legacy.

Finally, I want to acknowledge the presence of my beloved mother, Madam Deborah and family members present.  I am grateful for your unyielding support. You have been the bedrock of my strength and resolve. This achievement is as much yours as it is mine.

Comrades, with God as our guard and guide, I am confident that we will accomplish even greater successes together in the days to come.

Long Live Ghana,

Long live NIB

Long live ICU

Long live PMSU/NIBSSA
